A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her teenager neighbour in South Delhi's Amar Colony area on Monday evening, police said.

A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her teenager neighbour in South Delhi's Amar Colony area on Monday evening, police said.

The 17-year-old accused has been arrested after a case of rape was registered against him.

The juvenile took the girl to the rooftop of a building on some pretext and raped her, a police official said.

"Threatening her of dire consequences, he told her not to reveal the incident to anyone. The girl, however, narrated her ordeal to her family, who then approached the police," the official said.

The police took the victim to a nearby hospital where rape was established in her medical examination.

Further investigations in the case are on, police said.
