The leader of the House, Subhash Arya, said the corporation will pass a resolution in the House meeting on Friday through which it will ask the state government to enable the civic body to pay the charges.
“The notification, that RWAs of a particular colony have to pay the fees for passing of the layout plan, needs to be withdrawn. We want the government to give us the money so that we can start the process,” Arya said.
Though the process of regularisation of these colonies was started around 10 years ago, on September 4, 2012, the government had notified the boundaries of these colonies.
The layout plan of a colony is prepared by a consultant and submitted to a scrutiny committee after whose clearance, it is sent to the civic body which passes it. The RWAs have to pay the consultant his fee so that the plan can be passed.
Bhagwan Park colony in Burari under the North body and East Azad Nagar under the East corporation have already got their plans passed.
