While most rules remain same as in the Right to Education Act, the Delhi rules have a special provision for reservation of 50% of the seats in the school management committee for women.

The notification also says that there should be at least 16 members in the school management committee.

The committee is also supposed to make the school development plan which should indicate the estimates for class-wise enrollment each year, requirement of teachers and the infrastructural requirements.
