A Delhi court on Monday examined a school principal to verify the claim of a suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist, that he was a minor at the time of the incident and should be tried under milder penal law.

A Delhi court on Monday examined a school principal to verify the claim of a suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist, that he was a minor at the time of the incident and should be tried under milder penal law.

“As per records, the accused Salman alias Chotu, was admitted in Shri Mahadev Inter College, Sikraur, in Azamgarh and his date of birth is October 3, 1992,” the principal testified before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja.

Salman was arrested on March 6 by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for his alleged role in the

serial blasts in Delhi on September 13, 2008.
