Representatives of four other key players and alleged beneficiaries, including Reliance (Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group), Airtel, Swan Telecom and Unitech, have been called by the parliamentary panel on April 5.
"Niira Radia and Ratan Tata have been called on April 4 to discuss their role in the 2G spectrum allocation. On April 5, representatives of four companies — Swan Telecom, Reliance, Airtel and Unitech — have been asked to present themselves," a source in the PAC said.
The PAC will meet for two days to take its probe further, which has already led to the resignation and arrest of former telecom minister A Raja.
Tata and Ambani, both, in separate statements have welcomed the PAC decision to call them to present their version.
"Mr RN Tata has expressed his willingness to appear before the PAC on April 4th in connection with the recent developments in the Telecom Sector ....," said a spokesperson for the Tata Group.
In a brief response, a spokesperson for the Reliance ADAG group said :"Anil Ambani welcomes the opportunity to appear before PAC."
