Test of cooked midday meals

The Directorate of Education has entrusted Shriram Institute for Industrial Research with the work of testing the quality of cooked midday meal supplied in all government and government-aided schools.

The Directorate of Education has entrusted Shriram Institute for Industrial Research with the work of testing the quality of cooked midday meal supplied in all government and government-aided schools.

The agency will visit the schools and kitchens of NGOs/ service providers and take samples to ensure that the quality of the meals is according to the revised food norms currently in force. This comes in the wake of the recurrent cases of food poisoning due to midday meal in government schools.
