But stress-filled Februaries will change: at least for those students enrolled in Class X from academic session 2010-11 onwards. With the introduction of continuous evaluation, students could choose to be graded instead of being marked, thus opting out of the rat race, at least for the time being.

Semester system
In tandem with the reform in school education, Delhi University will introduce the semester system at the undergraduate level from 2010. The highlights of the semester system will be continuous evaluation and interdisciplinary courses. Students’ performance will be evaluated twice a year. The fun bit? With a major and minor subject, a student of , say, English (Hons) could take up history or political science as a second subject.
