Jeychandran was arrested after several rounds of questioning by the investigating agency, CBI spokesman R K Gaur said, adding he was arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation in two cases registered by the CBI.
This is the third arrest in the case, after TS Darbari and Sanjay Mohindroo, who were arrested on November 15.
Jeychandran was treasurer in the OC, while Darbari was Joint Director General (Revenue, Marketing and Chairman Secretariat) and Mohindroo was its Deputy Director General (marketing).
All three were removed from their respective posts after the alleged irregularities in the conduct of Queen’s Baton Relay in London came to light.
