Three youths who allegedly robbed people after offering them lifts in their car were arrested in the national capital, police said on Thursday.
The arrested have been identified as Harsh Sharma (22), Nitin (20) and Rajesh (24). With their arrest, police said they have solved two cases.
Ten days ago, the trio had allegedly robbed a railway employee after offering him a lift in their car and later beat him up before taking all his belongings at knife-point.
In a similar manner on January 15, they offered lift to a man waiting at a bus stop for going to Haryana and snatched his purse and mobile phone. When he resisted, they allegedly stabbed him on his hand.
"After robbing a victim, they used to tie his hands and cover his face with a polythene bag or the victims' shirt before dumping him at a secluded spot to ensure that he does not note down the car number," police said.
Three mobile phones, a surgical blade, a watch and the car used in committing the crimes have been recovered from their possession, they said.
