The police said those from the hospital administration as well as people from PES Installation Private Ltd, the company responsible for operating the medical gas pipeline supply system, are on their radar.

Sindhu Pillai, DCP (north) said, “We will question others from PES Installation Private Ltd and nobody has been given a clean chit.” A case under sections 287 (negligence) and 304A (death due to negligence) was registered against PES Installation Private Ltd following a complaint lodged by Dr Vikas Rampal, additional medical superintendent of Sushruta Trauma Centre.

Amit Singh Katoch, the 25-year-old technician and Madan Lal Sharma, supervisor of the gas plant, were arrested on Wednesday for negligence. The hospital administration submitted an inquiry report to the police on Tuesday.
