A full-time politician. Dhingan lives with his family in Tahirpur village, Seemapuri.
Education: Discontinued studies after Class X.
Political career: Dhingan entered politics in 1980 after quitting his job as a sanitary supervisor in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). He was also associated with the All India Safai Karamchari Union for a long time. Dhingan contested and won for the first time from the Seemapuri assembly seat in 1998. He followed it up with another victory in the 2003 assembly polls.
Family: Wife Rajwati is a non-gazetted officer in the Delhi government’s education department. The couple have three sons. Two sons are non-gazetted officers in the MCD and the Delhi government’s health department. Their youngest son is a property dealer.
Cars: Singh claims he only has a Maruti 800.
