Former Union minister of state for coal Santosh Bagrodia managed to attend the wedding reception of CBI director Ranjit Sinha's daughter here on July 19 without any invitation, claimed sources in the investigation agency.

Former Union minister of state for coal Santosh Bagrodia managed to attend the wedding reception of CBI director Ranjit Sinha's daughter here on July 19 without any invitation, claimed sources in the investigation agency.

Bogrodia's role is under scanner of the CBI in the coal block allocation probe. He has been questioned by the CBI also.

"The former minister was not invited for the reception, but as per tradition, being the guest, he was not turned away," said a source.

Sources say, Bagrodia spent considerable time at the function which was held at the official residence of the CBI director. Bagrodia could not be reached for comment despite phone calls from HT.

CBI director's daughter Rudrani Sinha married IAS officer Awanish Kumar Sharan on July 13 in Patna.
