Whistle-blower to move court against DDA, police

Kumar's counsel will file a public interest litigation (PIL) in the Delhi High Court seeking action against the agency and the local police.

On November 10 last year, Deepak had given a written complaint to the Paschim Vihar police station that he was threat calls from two property dealers and his life was in danger. In the letter, he had also apprised the police about the "nature of scam". He had named two Shalimar Bagh-based builders in his complaint.

"We will file a public interest litigation in the court. We will ask why was the scam allowed to take place when he (Deepak Kumar) had already alerted them," said Jinendra Jain, Kumar's counsel.

According to Jain, the PIL would also demand a probe against all those banks who provided loan to several applicants and accepted the forms without verifying the documents. “All these things could not have been possible without the connivance of bank officials," alleged Jain.
