Wife, two others held for man’s murder

Delhi Police have arrested three persons, including a man’s wife, for killing him and dumping his body in UP. The arrest came after a kidnapping case was registered at Jaitpur police station of southeast district.

Rakesh, a resident of Chattarpur, had gone missing on May 6 when he went to meet his wife, Prabha, in Jaitpur.

According to police, the victim had a strained relationship with his wife but used to visit her at her parental house.

Prabha is reported to be having an affair with another man and wanted to eliminate Rakesh.

Prabha, along with her boyfriend Sachin and Sunil, his relative, together killed Rakesh.

“Since Prabha was in love with Sachin and wanted to marry him, they decided to get rid of Rakesh,” said Ajay Chaudhry, additional commissioner of police (southeast).

On May 6, Rakesh went to meet Prabha. Her parents were away to attend a marriage ceremony. Prabha gave Rakesh sedatives after which he became unconscious.

The trio then strangulated him and dumped his body in Sikandrabad, UP.
