Woman gangraped in east Delhi home

A 22-year-old woman was raped allegedly by three men, including her husband's friend, in her east Delhi residence, police said today. The incident was reported from Bholanath locality last evening.

A 22-year-old woman was raped allegedly by three men, including her husband's friend, in her east Delhi residence, police said today. The incident was reported from Bholanath locality last evening.

The three men came to her residence on the pretext of meeting her husband and then allegedly raped her, a senior police official said.

According to the woman's statement, the three raped her and threatened her of dire consequences if she made a noise. Her husband claimed that he came back home in the night and found his wife crying.

She told him about the incident following which he informed police, the official said, adding they received a call around 10 pm. A case was registered after her medical examination at a nearby hospital confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.

The official said the woman has identified the three men and efforts were on to nab them.

The incident comes a day after a 35-year-old woman alleged that she was raped by Station House Officer and four other policemen in Inderpuri police station.
