Woman murdered in South Delhi

A 50-year-old woman was found murdered inside her flat in south Delhi’s Godavari Apartments, reports Ravi Bajpai.

Sources said Mittal had gone out in the morning with her driver and was carrying a diamond necklace. The family had hired the driver seven days ago and he was missing till late night. The house was ransacked, and robbery is a likely motive. “We are trying to find the driver,” said Anil Shukla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South).

Meera lived with her husband Naresh, and their son and daughter. Naresh, a senior officer with Som Distilleries, is currently in Bhopal. Her children were also not at home, said neighbours, who called the police after receiving a phone call from Naresh. The neighbour then broke open the house door and found Meera lying in a pool of blood.
