Woman promised job, raped in car

A job agent raped a 24-year-old married woman in his car after he took her to a desolate area in south Delhi on the pretext of providing her a job in a hospital reportedly owned by his uncle, police said.

A job agent raped a 24-year-old married woman in his car after he took her to a desolate area in south Delhi on the pretext of providing her a job in a hospital reportedly owned by his uncle, police said on Thursday.

The victim told police that the accused identified as Mohit, 30, raped her in his car in the desolate area of Vasant Kunj on Tuesday. She said he had promised her a job of a nurse in the hospital owned by his uncle in Khanpur area.

He then asked her to come in his car to the hospital for the interview.

"The victim agreed to go with Mohit for the interview. Mohit took her half way to the hospital and then parked the car at a desolate place. He then raped her in the car," a police official said.

Mohit then threatened her of dire consequences if she told anyone. The victim told her husband four days later.

The police said a case has been registered against Mohit and a search was on for him.
