With the confirmation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajashekhara Reddy's sad demise, a tide of sorrow engulfed the Congress party on Thursday.
Congress leaders were shocked at the untimely demise of the great party worker.
"It is a terrible time for us. This is shocking news for Congress and the people of the country. He was a dynamic human being and a people's man. It will take a long time to come to terms with the loss," Jayanti Natarajan, Congress spokesperson said to a TV news channel.
"He was utterly simple, practical, accesible man. He died while being devoted to the state of Andhra Pradesh," she added.
Renuka Chaudhary, Congress leader said YSR Reddy will be remembered for his work.
