147 scholarships to study in Europe

The Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window WILLPower (EMECW) programme is now offering 147 scholarships to Indian nationals to study, teach or carry out research in European universities for nearly three years starting next year.

The Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window WILLPower (EMECW) programme is now offering 147 scholarships to Indian nationals to study, teach or carry out research in European universities for nearly three years starting next year.

The EMECW project, funded by the European Commission, is an institutional mobility scheme that creates the opportunity for Indians to be at any one of 10 European universities, while also enabling European students to attend seven Indian IITs and universities.

The project is designed to fund undergraduate, Master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral students and academic staff. The scholarship will cover travel, insurance, possible tuition and living expenses.

European universities that are part of the programme are Ecole Centrale Nantes (France), Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), Ecole Centrale Paris (France), Supelec (France), Technische Universität München (Germany), Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy), Politechnika Warszawska (Poland), Universidad de Sevilla (Spain), Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya Barcelona (Spain).

The Indian participants are Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, Anna University Chennai, University of Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Rajasthan.
