UK's Bangor University is wooing Indian students with scholarships both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. According to Owain Llwyod, International Officer, "The University has a gamut of scholarships for all subjects worth 1500 pounds for every year of study at the undergraduate level." He also mentioned that for the business school, the university is offering gold and silver scholarships worth 5000 pounds and 2000 pounds for the postgraduates.

The tuition fees range from 3225 pounds to 8,817 pounds at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The university, which held an "on-the-spot" admission session at the British Council last week, has a variety of courses to offer. MBA and psychology programmes were the most preferred among the Indian students.

Bangor University is home to over 10,000 students, including more than 10 per cent from overseas. The university has a placement cell, wherein they assist students to get internships in big banking companies like HSBC, Standard Chartered, both in India and London.

This year the university plans to admit around 30-35 students through an educational consultant in Delhi. The university is expected to visit the consultant next month again for on-the-spot admission session.
