Which institute/ college or university in North India teaches still photography? I am interested in wildlife and nature photography. Please suggest the name of some institutes where I can cultivate my hobby into a profession.

Many BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) courses — The College of Art, New Delhi and Chandigarh, include training in photography.
Most mass communication courses including those at The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi and MCRC at Jamia Millia Islamia include still photography as a subject.
Diploma courses in still photography are also offered by the University of Allahabad, MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, and Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi
There are short certificate courses in photography offered by the Triveni Kala Sangam and Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan in New Delhi.
However, there are no specialised courses in wildlife photography. For this you could either consider one of the above programmes and apprentice yourself to a wildlife photographer.
Alternatively, you could take up a course in wildlife studies at the Institute of Wildlife Studies at Dehra Dun while you pick up photography as a hobby.
I am considering a shift from my present career as a journalist. Please tell me the various options I can go for and what I should expect.

You have not mentioned your academic background so I am unable to give you any specific suggestions.
But as a journalist, if you write well, have good communication skills, and an outgoing and sociable personality you could take up a career in public relations, which would require you to do some writing of press releases, and liaise with the press, business organisations and the public.
You could consider jobs in hospitality or hotel management, which also requires strong social skills, or in publishing, where you can exercise your writing and editing abilities.
Other options include teaching mass communication or journalism and business management.
