CBSE Class-10 results: 18 from Chandigarh get 98% and above

Of the four top position holders in the Chandigarh tricity who scored 98.8%, only one student was from Chandigarh. However, the city had 18 students, including topper Abhinn from Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, who scored 98% and above.
There are five students who secured 98.6%, three students who secured 98.4%, three students who got 98.2 and six students have secured 98%.
Aarushi Doomra, Anhad Kaur Mehta and Parul of Bhavan Vidyalaya School, Sector 27, Akula Aggarwal, a student of KBDAV, Sector 7 and Isha Rawat of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, who scored 98.6%, held the second positions in the city.
At the third position, there are three students who secured 98.4%. The students are Harshika Verma of DAV School, (Lahore), Sector 8; Sarthak Kohli, of Ajit Karam Singh International School (AKSIPS), Sector 41, and Riva Gupta, a student of KBDAV School. Meanwhile, Keshav Kumar Goyal of KBDAV, Sector 7, Sunidhi Bansal from AKSIPS Smart School, Sector 45, and Sahil Gupta from DPS School Sector 40 have secured 98.2%.
Among the students who secured 98% are Srishti Dhir and Riya of Bhavan Vidyalaya School, Sector 27; Namisha Kathuria and Ehsaas of Carmel Convent School, Sector 9, Tushar Bhateja from St Kabir Public School, Sector 26 and Siddharth Singh Rana from DPS School.
The school topper of Ajit Karam Singh International Public School (AKSIPS), Sector 41, Sarthak Kohli who secured 98.4%, said, “I was expecting anything above 90% but scoring above 98% is unbelievable. I wish to pursue engineering and at present, my aim is to get into a good college. I have already started my coaching for the same.” There are 76 private schools in the city.
Only 1 govt school in top 5
Of the 93 government schools in Chandigarh, only one school produced a top five position holder. Isha Rawat of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, was among the second position holders in the city with 98.6%. Daughter of a school teacher, Isha, says, “I want to become an IAS officer as per my grandfather’s wishes.”
