CBSE?s incentives for single girl child
The CBSE has decided to introduce scholarships for single girl students and a slew of reforms from the coming year to make the examination more stress-free for students.
CBSE Chairman Ashok Ganguly said single girl child securing more than 60 per cent marks in Class X would get a scholarship of Rs 500 per month for two years till Class XII.
On the reforms, Ganguly said these include restructuring the question papers in all subjects and introducing a grading system from 2008. CBSE had restructured the question patterns for Classes X and XII this year.
“We’ll extend these reforms to all papers in the coming year. The result in these papers has improved,” he said. “The papers will help students comprehend the questions better. And they will be able to answer before the allotted time,” he added.
