Students can receive counselling on their choice of courses and colleges at various centres, during ‘open days’ from May 25 - June 1.



Students can assemble at arts faculty for the May 25 and May 26 sessions, SP Jain Centre on May 27 and May 29, Vivekanand College on May 30 and May 31 and DDU College on June 1.

"I am interested in psychology. But I am unclear on what to choose because I do not know the difference between psychology and applied psychology,” said Nitin.



Dr Gurpreet from Zakir Hussain College, who was a part of the DU session said, “We told the student that basic subjects strengthen the foundation while an applied course in the same subject focuses on specific areas.” The most common query was whether an undergraduate course was available for biotechnology.



“Though DU does not have an undergraduate course in this area, we do offer an MSc. Any student who has an undergraduate degree in biochemistry or chemistry or microbiology is eligible for pursuing an MSc in biotechnolgy,” said a counsellor.
