FPSB to offer a CFP certification programme.

Financial Planning Standards Board India (FPSB India), a public -private enterprise and a professional standards setting body, is offering CFP certification programme. The programme is designed to provide students knowledge on the full range of financial products available in India's financial markets. It is supposed to help the individual understand the financial planning process and make him/ her capable of explaining the process to clients. After gaining the CFP Certification, the individual would be would have had some significant practical experience as well. The programme covers such areas as insurance planning, investment planning, retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning and construction of financial plans.

The syllabus is glo-local in nature meaning that the outlook is global but localised to Indian context. FPSB India works with all stakeholders - government, regulators, industry/ associations, corporate houses, the media and the general public to achieve its objectives. It is a professional membership and certification organisation part of a global confederation established by prominent financial service corporations with an objective to professionalise the concept of financial planning in India.
