Does a global MBA inspire awe?
Hirers react favourably to a CV that illustrates a global footprint
Hirers react favourably to a CV that illustrates a global footprint. Mohit Jain loves it. “I have to agree that it does get me that one meeting I need, when hirers look at my CV. Of course, after that, it’s up to me to impress the people I am meeting and actually secure the job. No one hires people solely on the basis of their CVs (and should not). However, I can’t say what’s it like for the others,” he says.
Swami, too, agrees that IIT and Wharton degrees “certainly help get you a foot in at the door.”
Global experience counts, says Sailesh Tiwari. “If anything, I would believe that hirers react favourably to a CV that illustrates a global footprint. With the global balance tilting towards emerging markets, the more diverse an experience of a person, and that too in emerging markets, the greater the attractiveness of a CV for a leading MNC company,” he adds.
