The Fulbright-Nehru fellowships are available for outstanding Indians who wish to pursue their master’s at selected colleges and universities in the United States. The scholarship covers courses in arts and culture management, including heritage conservation and museum studies, environmental science/studies, higher education administration, public health, urban and regional planning, and women’s studies/gender studies.

Applicants should hold an equivalent of a US bachelor’s degree from a recognised Indian university with at least 55% marks, and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Applicants should either possess a four-year bachelor’s degree or a master’s, if the bachelor’s degree is of less than four years’ duration.

The fellowship will provide benefits like round-trip economy class air travel, funding for tuition and fees, living costs etc.

Candidates enrolled for PhD programmes at Indian institutions are eligible for the Fulbright-Nehru doctoral research fellowships. The last date to apply is July 1, 2013. For more details visit www.usief.org.in/Fellowships-for-Indian-Citizens.aspx
