Ryan Pinto, CEO, Ryan International Group of Institutions, the official sponsor of the event, delivered the opening address. Speaking at the event held at Crowne Plaza in Gurgaon recently, he highlighted the need for skill development to make students more employable.
The keynote address was delivered by Dilip Chenoy, MD and CEO, National Skill Development Corporation, who stressed on NSDC’s attempt to popularise vocational skills for holistic employment. A panel discussion was held on factors essential for employability including the need for skill development at the school level.
The panelists included Professor M L Singla, dean, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi; Professor S K Garg, dean of academics at Delhi Technological University; Professor Irfan A Rizvi, director of Jaypee Business School; Amit Malik, chief human resource officer at Aviva Life Insurance and R Anand, head of the global centre of excellence at HCL Technologies. Rajesh Mahapatra, executive editor at Hindustan Times, moderated the panel discussion.
