IIT Hyderabad to offer business analytics course

Any individual with an undergraduate degree in mathematics or statistics and working professionals can register for the course, to be offered over weekends.

With most organisations increasingly keen to tap the potential of efficient business analytics and big data analysis to get an edge in a competitive business market, there has been a rise in demand for data scientists and business analytics professionals.

The computer science and engineering department of Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad will conduct its a certificate course on business analytics using open source R, a statistical software (weekend course) in April 2016.

The six day course will equip one participants with the essential skills required to address challenges of data intensive decision-making environments. Any individual with an undergraduate degree in mathematics or statistics and working professionals can register for the course, to be offered over weekends. Those with experience in any programming language will be an added advantage.

The course fee is Rs 30,000. The enrolments are based on first come first serve basis. The classes will be held on April 9 (Saturday), April 10 (Sunday), April 17 (Sunday), April 24 (Sunday), April 30 (Saturday), and May 1 (Sunday), 2016 at IIT Hyderabad campus.
