Jawaharlal Nehru scholarships for doctoral studies

The candidate should hold a first class postgraduate degree from a recognised university. Should be registered/admitted for PhD degree with recognised a University/ Institution in India in one of the following specialisations.

Jawaharlal Nehru scholarships for doctoral studies

The scholarships are available to: (a) Indian nationals for PhD study in India; and (b) nationals of other Asian countries
for PhD study in India. The scholarship will include a) maintenance allowance including tuition fee of R9,000 per month; b) Annual contingent expenses for study tours within India, books, stationery, thesis costs, etc. - R12,000 per annum and sleeper class train fare from the place of residence or study in India for interview

Eligibility: The candidate should hold a first class postgraduate degree from a recognised university. Should be registered/admitted for PhD degree with recognised a University/ Institution in India in one of the following specialisations. Science and technology as an integral component of economic and social activity, including the philosophy of science; comparative studies in religion and culture; international relations and constitutional studies; indian history, civilisation and culture; interface of social change and economic development; environmental ecology and sustainable development; studies in the life and works of Nehru
