JEE Advanced 2019 exam date postponed to May 27, here’s everything you need to know

JEE Advance 2019: JEE Advanced exam 2019 will not be conducted on May 19, 2019. The date of exam has been postponed from May 19 to May 27, 2019 due to Lok Sabha Elections.
“In view of the clash in the dates of JEE (Advanced) 2019 and the last phase of General Elections 2019, the examination date of JEE (Advanced) 2019 has been shifted to May 27, 2019 (Monday). The examination will be held in India and abroad, on May 27, 2019 (Monday), in the following two shifts: Paper 1 (09:00 to 12:00 IST) and Paper 2 (14:00 to 17:00 IST),” the official notice read. Candidates can read the notice on jeeadv.ac.in.
Earlier, the dates of JEE Main exam 2019 has also been postponed due to the elections. Earlier it was announced that the JEE Main April exams will be held from April 7 to 20. But now, according to the revised exam schedule , the paper 2 of B. Arch/ B. Planning will be conducted on April 7 while the paper 1 will be conducted on April 8, 9, 10, 12.
Candidates who will clear the JEE Main 2019 exam that will be conducted in April as well as those who have qualified in the JEE Main (I) January exam 2019 will appear for the JEE Advanced. This year, IIT Roorkee will be conducting the JEE Exam.
Candidates will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 2600. SC, ST and PwD candidates and Indian and PIO female candidates (all categories) will pay a fee of Rs 1300. For foreign nationals, the fee is $150 and for SAARC nationals it is $75. Additional GST will be applicable on all the fees.
