The eligibility for admission to the four-semester (two-year) course is a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, including at least two full-fledged papers in mathematics at the undergraduate level.
Both the universities will conduct a jointly-devised test to admit 20 students in the first year. Successful students are going to get a degree awarded jointly by the two.
The master of mathematics education is being launched to move away from the conventional pedagogy of teaching maths at the school level and to include methods of facilitating learning such as storytelling, projects, group work and participative learning.
