Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research is offering scholarships for Project-Oriented Chemical Education (POCE) and Project-Oriented Biological Education (POBE).

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research is offering scholarships for Project-Oriented Chemical Education (POCE) and Project-Oriented Biological Education (POBE). These six- to eight-week programmes, conducted around mid-May to July, are aimed at infusing creativity and scientific temper into undergraduates. These involve lectures, lab projects and research work. Selected students are expected to work at the Centre for three consecutive summers, and will receive a scholarship of R6000 a month during their stay. Successful students will receive a diploma in chemistry or biology. Those who complete the programme with outstanding performance will be eligible for entry to the MS-PhD programme there, if they perform well in the interview

Eligibility: POCE: Students in the first year of three-year BSc courses (preferably with PCM). POBE: Students in the first year of BSc courses (preferably having biology as one of the subjects)
