ITL Public School, Dwarka, recently hosted the zonal round of Spell Vocab Challenger in which eight schools battled it out for the top position. The competition was conducted in two sessions – a junior session Class 6 to 8 students and a senior session for Class 9 to 11.
There were questions to spell a word, identify it and its idioms with the help of clues. There was also a rapidfire round where the contestants had to answer three questions in 40 seconds, which tested their spelling and vocabulary. The junior contestants from Class 6 to 8 scored better than the seniors.
The event culminated with the prize distribution by officiating principal, Kiran Dharmadhikari and Devashish Das of Mother Diary, the organising partners of the contest.
