After Hindustan Times on Tuesday reported the story of Ranchi twins who secured identical marks in the ICSE results announced on Monday, the Limca Book of Records made plans to feature the duo.

The Limca Book of Records on Wednesday wrote to HT seeking details of the twin sisters, Aporupa and Anorupa. An email from the editor of the book, Vijaya Ghose, said, "I want to feature the twins Anorupa and Aporupa in the 2016 book. I would be grateful if you send me their mail ids."

Limca Book of Records is a popular annual reference book published in India documenting human and natural world records.

"I feel on top of the world. I always knew we were special, but never thought that Limca Book would think of featuring us," said an elated Anorupa.

HT on Monday had highlighted the story of these identical twin sisters, who secured same marks in five out of six subjects and also topped their school. The duo never took tuitions for their exams and studied only with assistance from each other, said their father Prof Shailesh Chattopadhyay.

The sisters, studying in Loreto Convent, Ranchi, have taken admission in Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shayamli to pursue further studies. Both of them want to pursue MBBS from the same college and serve the society as doctors.

"My daughters have become famous overnight. I hope a feature in Limca Book brings more success for them in the days to come," their father said.
