Students from across the country and beyond seek admission in DU. The cut-off percentage has been increasing dramatically every year. Scoring a percentage in eighties too does not promise one a seat in a favoured college. Of late the cut-offs have begun to hit the ceiling, as for some courses it has gone as high as 97 per cent.

Delhi Police has enhanced security in the area as a huge turn out is expected to hit DU today. Ten CCTV cameras will be put on trial on the Chhatra Marg and Vishwavidyalaya Marg to keep an eye on anti-social elements.

250 to 300 Delhi Police personnel have been deployed across the varsity. Pickets have been put up in sensitive locations. Four PCR vans will be stationed at strategic locations with four motorcycle patrols.

Delhi Police and traffic police are working in tandem to ensure smooth traffic flow in the campus.
