NCERT scholarships under Bal Shree scheme

In a move to encourage students to participate in the Bal Shree scheme of National Bal Bhavan, the National Council of Education Research and Training would provide scholarship to participants reaching the national level.

In a move to encourage students to participate in the Bal Shree scheme of National Bal Bhavan (NBB), the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) would provide scholarship to participants reaching the national level.

NCERT would provide Rs 500 per month to each student in the age group of 14 to 16 who qualify to the national level competion in the four categories — creative performance, creative art, creative scientific innovation and creative writing, conducted by the NBB.

This year 22 students including 13 boys and 9 girls are winners in the four categories. President A P J Abdul Kalam would felicitate these students tomorrow with Kissan Vikash Patra of Rs 10,000 and a citation.

Altogether 58 students in the age group of 14 to 16 had qualified for the final round of competition which was held here during the last five days.
