Admission on for joint MSc degree in IT
SSN School of Advanced Software Engineering, near Chennai, in association with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), US, is calling for applications for the latter’s MSc programme in information technology with specialisation in software engineering, till February 10, 2010.

The first year of the one-and-half-year residential programme is conducted at the SSN campus off Chennai. Students completing the one-year curriculum in India will receive a certificate from the Indian institute, started by HCL chairman Shiv Nadar. They will then complete the remaining part of their programme in the US to obtain the MSIT degree from Carnegie Mellon.

Applicants should have at least 60 per cent marks in a graduate or postgraduate degree in engineering or in MCA. They should also have a valid GRE (Graduate Record Examination) and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score on or before February 15, 2010. Those with industrial experience are preferred.
