education Updated: Jun 19, 2012 13:34 IST
Hindustan Times has launched Delhi University Admissions community, which would act as one-stop online destination for all DU admission related queries and also as a platform to connect DU colleges with thousands of students from Delhi and other states who aspire to get admission to Delhi University in 2009.

Every year thousands of students from Delhi and other states aspire to gain admission to Delhi University (DU). In 2008, over 90,000 applicants registered for approximately 42,000 degree seats in DU. It’s ironic that, even though DU admissions are on the national news, but still, number of information cells for counseling is not adequate.

“Every year, the majority of applicants struggle to get the DU admission information. Students have to run from college to college for every small piece of information. Access to information becomes even more difficult for those who reside outside Delhi,” says Abhishek Singla, Director of Marketing, He further adds “The content on LearnHub DU community has been created with the help of existing students from different DU colleges, who faced similar problems during their admission process.” (Before joining LearnHub, Abhishek was co-founder of an online portal dedicated to DU admission information.)

The DU community on LearnHub has data on stream wise cutoff list, important links, important dates and other relevant information. Applicants can also connect with final year students of DU colleges for any DU admissions related queries.

DU colleges can now host a free online application form on LearnHub, which would help them reach a large group of students. The free online application form facility will be specifically useful for over 35 per cent of the DU colleges who don’t have a website. can set up an application form for any DU college in just couple of hours without charging any fees for it.
