Bihar and Jharkhand to get IGNOU regional centres soon
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has recently decided to establish two more regional centres in the country: Saharsa in Bihar and Deoghar in Jharkhand.

According to the notification issued by the Registrar of the university, the Board of Management (BoM) has approved the proposal for the establishment of the two regional centres.

The regional centres will be responsible for the promotion of the Open University system; development, maintenance and
monitoring of study centres and student support services; and organisation of staff development
programmes in the region.
