Indira Gandhi National Open University's (IGNOU’s) Centre for Corporate Education Training & Consultancy and School Of Agriculture has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to develop a training module on food safety and hygiene for housewives. The module is intended to help learners acquire certain skills in respect of food safety.



According to the MoU, IGNOU is going to develop a training module on food safety for housewives/ young girls. The module will have book form with questions and self-assessment format. A separate CD will contain the study materials and questions for use by students along with an online platform for easy access to reading material.


The MoU was signed by IGNOU registrar US Tolia and FSSAI director Asim Choudhary.
