President Droupadi Murmu to confer Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar today

Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023: President of India Droupadi Murmu will present the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023 today, January 23.

This year, eleven exceptional children have been selected for the prestigious award. Of them, 6 are boys and 5 are girls from eleven states and union territories, Ministry of Women and Child Development has informed.
On January 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Bal Puraskar 2023 winners, as per a press statement.
Minister of Women & Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani will also interact with the winners in the presence of Minister of State Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai tomorrow, it added.
The award ceremony will take place in Vigyan Bhawan.
The Government of India confers Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) to children for their exceptional achievements.
Children in the age group 5 – 18 years are awarded Bal Puraska, for their excellence in six categories – Art & Culture, Bravery, Innovation, Scholastic, Social Service and Sports. Each awardee of PMRBP is given a medal, a cash prize of Rs1 Lakh and a certificate.
This year, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar will be conferred upon eleven children for their exceptional achievement in the field of Art and Culture (4), Bravery (1), Innovation (2), Social Service (1), and Sports (3).
