The objective of this cell will be to focus on innovation, change management, organisational transformation, leadership comparisons between public and private enterprises, and managerial mindsets and risk-taking in middle management.

Speaking on the occasion, O.P. Bhatt, Chairman, SBI stated: "In one of the projects in 2007-2008, we had extended grants to the London School of Economics for establishing an Indian observatory and IG Patel Chair at their Asia Research Centre. This time, we have partnered with ISB and it is expected that its outputs would be of relevance to industry in general and public sector enterprises in particular".

Ajit Rangnekar, Dean, ISB, said: "The PSUs have played a very important role in ensuring inclusive growth in India. The objective of this research cell will be to draw lessons from the performance of the successful PSU's, identify areas for further improvement in their performance, contribute lessons for the private sector and how they both can work collaboratively towards inclusive growth."
