Record placement at LSR, Rhea Grover bags Rs 29 lakh job offer

EY Parthenon is a first-time recruiter at the college, along with others such as Samsung, Adobe, Boston Consultancy.

Delhi University’s Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) has registered a record placement this year, with Rhea Grover, a Bcom (Hons) student, bagging the highest offer of Rs 29 lakh by EY Parthenon. Last year, the highest package offered was Rs 18 lakh.

EY Parthenon is a first-time recruiter at the college, along with others such as Samsung, Adobe, Boston Consultancy. “Not only the highest package, even the companies offering more than Rs 12 lakh package, termed as ‘Super Blue’ companies have increased to 9 this year. In 2015, there were 4 super blue companies,” said Kanika Ahuja, LSR’s media-coordinator.

The companies who come for recruitment are divided as “Super blue, Blue and Non Blue” depending on the remuneration offered, brand name and association. The super blue are ones who offer above Rs.12 lakh, blue above 8 lakh and non blue below Rs.8 lakh.

Even the average compensation amount is high this year at Rs 7 lakh with 94 students being placed so far. A few start-ups like Grofers, Singapore Angel Network and Nearby by Groupon too participated in this year’s placement.

“This time we have a collaboration with St Stephen’s College and Shri Ram College of Commerce. So for some companies, students come to our college and for others our students go to Stephen’s or SRCC,” said Ahuja.
