SBI PO jobs: Application process ends on May 24

The application process started on May 4.

Of the total 2,200 vacancies, 1,028 are for general candidates, 590 for Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates, 351 for Scheduled Castes (SC) and 231 for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.

You can apply through online mode.

The examination will be held in two phases: Preliminary and Main. The shortlisted candidates in the main examination will be called for a group discussion and interview. The preliminary exam will be conducted on July 2, 3, 9 and 10 and result will be declared on July 18.

To be eligible to apply, a candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or have any equivalent qualification recognised by the central government. Those who are in the final year/semester of their graduation may also apply but if called for an interview, they will have to present the proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before August 31, 2016. Chartered accountants can also apply.

A candidate applying for the post should not be below 21 years of age and above 30 years as on April 1, 2016, ie they must be born on April 2, 1986, and not later than April 1, 1995 (both days inclusive). However, for all the reserved category candidates age relaxation is allowed.
