The SBI Youth for India fellowship is a volunteering platform initiated, funded and managed by the State Bank of India in partnership with reputed NGOs. The fellowship enables urban youth to work on rural development projects for one year. It provides a framework for India’s best young minds to join hands with rural communities, empathise with their struggles and connect with their aspirations.

Past fellows of the programme include candidates from premier institutes like the IIMs, IITs and foreign universities. About 100 fellows will be working at 35 rural locations in 15 states across the country. The fellows can work on any of 12 programme areas covering the entire gamut of rural development from alternative energy, women’s empowerment, health, education, environmental protection to rural livelihoods, etc. Visit http://www.youthforindia.org/ for details.
