Play with texture

Pair a khadi kurta with a silk or brocade salwar. You can find great clothes at Fabindia, Anokhi, Cottons etc. Avail of the sale at Khadi Gramudyog from October 2 onwards. Pick up a khadi kurta, pair it with jeans, roll up the sleeves, and you’re good to go.

Play with styles

It is not necessary to team a khadi kurta with a salwar or jeans. Fold your jeans (three-fourths length), add a belt over the kurta or wear a khadi shirt over a pair of denim/lycra shorts and add a statement necklace.

DIY

There are a number of shops where you can buy your khadi and silk. However, if you know a good tailor, you can experiment with various styles to jazz up your swadeshi

look. Buy khadi cloth or silk cloth from Khadi Gramudyog or any silk emporium and get your dress material stitched.
