UGC NET December 2018: Notification issued at nta.ac.in, apply from September 1

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notification regarding the UGC NET examination to be conducted in December 2018.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notification regarding the UGC NET examination to be conducted in December 2018. The detailed information bulletin for the examination will be released on Saturday on the websites nta.ac.in and ntanet.nic.in. The application process begins on Saturday (September 1)and will close on September 30. The last date to pay fees will be October 1, 2018.

Here are the details from the notification about December 2018 UGC NET exam:

a) Exam will be held between December 9 and December 23 in in computer based mode only

b) There will be two papers. Paper 1 will be of 100 marks, with 50 compulsory questions of two marks each. Candidates will get one hour to answer (2pm to 3pm).

c) Paper 2 will be of 200 marks and carry 100 objective type compulsory questions each of two marks. The duration of this paper will be two hours (3.30pm to 5.30pm).

The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for only assistant professor or both junior research fellowship and assistant professor.
