UPPSC may declare PCS-2014 final results this week
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is expected to announce the results of its prestigious Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Exam for 2014, commonly known as PCS, any time now.

According to sources, the results would be announced within this week.
"Determined to regularise the exam calendar, we are trying to announce all pending results. The results of review officer/assistant review officer have recently been declared and now we plan to declare the PCS-2014 result this week itself," said a senior UPPSC official, who did not want to be named.
The interviews of the 1,870 qualifying candidates of the PCS (Mains) started on July 1 and were completed on August 7 by Allahabad-headquartered UPPSC.
The qualifying aspirants are competing for 579 vacancies. These include 42 vacancies of sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), 92 of deputy superintendent of police (DSP), 41 of assistant commissioner (commercial tax), six of superintendent (jail), three of district commandant (home guards), six of basic shiksha adhikari (BSA), seven of district backward class welfare officer, nine of district physically handicapped welfare officer, eight of assistant labour commissioner, 17 of district food and supply officer, 150 of commercial tax officer and 68 of nayab tehsildar, four of assistant commissioner (cooperative) among others.
