Candidates can check the UPTET 2017 result after they are declared by visiting the official website of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board. upbasiceduboard.gov.in/

The examination was held on October 15.

Reports said out of the 10,09,347 candidates who registered 976,000 appeared for the exam that was held in 1634 exam centres across Uttar Pradesh.

The board released the answer key on October 18 and candidates were given time until October 23 to raise objections. The final answer keys were released subsequently after considering the objections by candidates.

There were two papers in the exam - Paper I for those looking at the post of teachers for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper II for those who want to teach from Class 6 to Class 8.

Candidates had to appear for both the papers to be eligible to teach from Classes 1 to 8.
